Whispers of Magick Written by Lady Celestia DragonLove 2008
Hurricane Protection Spell Purpose: Protect those in the way of the destructive natural force of a Hurricane
Things Needed: Cauldron Banishing Oil Banishing Herbs Hex Sign created/empowered to represent the protection from the Hurricane (Other magickal sigil will do) Purple Candle
Altar Devotion Cast Circle Call Quarters
Working: Light two illuminator candles. Place Hex Sign in middle of altar. Use rattle in widdershins direction to break up any negativity around Hex Sign. Oil the back of the Hex Sign with oil, saying aloud:
By this sacred oil I anoint thee, The power of protection from the storm I see.
Carve intent into purple candle. Oil candle from center outward. Hold candle tight and chant:
By the power of this sacred flame, Be the light of protection for all those in danger, I proclaim!
Light candle and now bless the Hex Sign with each of the elements and return to the center of the circle. Place Sign inside cauldron, sprinkle with herbs and then everyone holds their hands over the Hex Sign, building energy and chants: (Envision the cone of power as we chant, building higher and higher, spiraling upward):
Morrigan, Morrigan, Hear our cry, Turn this storm - let it pass those by. Morrigan, Morrigan in the sky, Turn thy tempest to blue sky!
Begin to do the Sacred Breath, hold, building energy, until you can no longer hold it and blow completely into the cauldron. Light cauldron and allow to burn completely out then say:
Morrigan, Morrigan, Thank you for hearing our cry, Keeping everyone safe from harm and dry. I know our wish has been granted. May this spell not reverse, Nor place upon us any curse. As our will, SO SHALL IT BE!
After ritual, take the cauldron of ashes and scatter to the four winds, in gratitude for what they have done.

The Story Of Creation From a Dark Witch's Perspective In the beginning there was the The Void, the Great Darkness that is the Womb of the Universe. There was nothing in existence except for this Void of Darkness. After countless aeons, The Void became aware of itself. As it did, a small Spark of Light appeared within the Darkness like a Seed forming within the Womb, and the Universe was now Fertile. The Spark was restless, suddenly expanded to a Shaft of Light and became the God, the Lingam within the Yoni. Yin had given Birth to the Yang, the Goddess had conceived of, and given Birth to, the God.
This Shaft of Light began
expanding in all Directions, forming a huge An electron-microscope will show that there is Dark Space between the bright God Particles; this Dark Space is Goddess, the Womb of the Universe, which still contains and nurtures every Thing. Without the Dark Space, the God Particles could not exist; without the Bright Particles, the Dark Space would be barren. God and Goddess are both intermingled within Us, within all Things. The Dark Space and the Bright Particles are in constant motion, orbiting, shifting, vibrating, humming this is the Great Dance of Life, the Dance between the Goddess and the God. The Goddess and the God are dancing in us, around us, and through us. This is the true Beauty of Creation.

Weather Witchery
Not to be taken lightly, Weather Witchery is not for the feint of heart! Weather magick is powerful and has been used for centuries. From simple chants to elaborate, magickally infused HexSigns, calling to the Rains and keeping Storms at bay has kept our Ancestors busy, busy, busy! Be sure you know what you are doing or only in the case of strict emergency, because weather magick affects the World and Her patterns - so be careful what you do - because it will come back to you... Here's a few things that I have found through my travels:

To Bring the Sun - To Bring the Rain
The Coo of a Dove, repeated 3 times in each direction, then repeated every three minutes for an hour is said to bring the Sun.
The Caw of a Crow, toward the Northern sky is repeated 9 times to bring Rain.

The Loon Meditation & Dreamwork Loon comes to visit us for the month of September, reminding us that dreamwork, journaling and/or meditation will be beneficial for us. Helping us to explore our subconscious more, for in turn, it will help us better understand ourselves. In dreamwork, pay close attention to those very vivid dreams. The kind that stay with you all day long. These kinds of dreams carry powerful messages and teachings. Loon can help us in lucid dreamwork, guiding us to become more aware as the dream unfolds and shows us how we can alter the course of the dream. If you have a dream or vision you are having a hard time interpreting, call on Loon. Hell show you what you need to know and pay attention to. Because of Loons very distinctive voice, stronge communication skills are needed this month. Remember to take care to protect and nourish your throat chakra. ( due to past life ties to improper speech) Incorporating lots of chanting and singing this month, will be very beneficial. With Loon flying with us, go the distance and dive deep down into your subconscious to discover your true self with out fear and awaken your true gifts.

Chicken & Dumplings
Supplies: Chicken 3 lbs chicken 2 Tbsp butter 1 small onion 1 tbsp parsley 3 tbsp flour 2 cans chicken broth Salt and pepper Dumplings 2 Cup flour 1 Tbsp Baking powder tsp salt 1 Tbsp Butter 1 beaten egg 2/3 cup milk
Directions: Brown the chicken in the butter, and remove the chicken to a plate. Add the onion and parsley to the pot, sautnbsp; Sprinkle the flour on top and stir it up. Add the broth in slowly and bring to a boil for about 2 minutes to thicken. Pop the chicken back in, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Increase the temp to 425 degrees. Make the dumplings: Combine flour, soda, salt. Cut in butter to crumbs. Add together egg and milk then just blend into the flour. Drop into mounds on top of the broth. Bake without a cover for 10 minutes. Replace the lid and bake for another 10 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.

Supplies: Field greens or salad lettuces Mandarin oranges Strawberries Dried Cranberries Walnuts Pomegranate seeds
Directions: Combine and top with a bottle of poppy seed dressing.

The winds have changed direction, and so it is time to move on.
Two and a half years ago, we went with our inspiration, and created Whispers on The Wind - A pagan oriented, computer printed newsletter, filled with spells, magicks, philosophies and classes. It was a wonderful outlet for those who had things they've always wanted published - and were amazing magickal tidbits to share! A few months later, October 2007, our first On-line Newsletter was born... And the tradition continued! Every month, the site was updated with articles, pagan classes, healings, totems, fairies, magicks, etc. We've been able to create a wonderfully, magickally charged network of supporters - and that is no small undertaking.
But the Wind has changed, our Inspiration has grown to encompass many different things now, and that leaves less time to create, research, empower and write the Newsletter. And while the Winds have changed, we cannot say goodbye forever to our beloved Whispers in The Wood, just yet...
Starting at Yule 2008 - we will have quarterly editions. Our HOPE is that you will all continue sending us poetry, magicks, chants, fairies, recipes, animals, magicks, spells, workings, healing, etc. and we can create a large Quarterly version of Whispers - filled with all of the above and more...
If it should be, It will be. So Mote It Be!

When I began The Seekers of the Mysteries training, I never imagined it would have turned into such an amazing experience. Five beautiful women, all from different walks of life, coming together to weave their magicks together.
Each one was given a different challenge. And each one amazed me.
The very least I could do, was combine these challenges together, creating a book of Magicks, just as they melded their energies throughout their time together.
Inside you will find, five very different women writing about five very different topics. Each compiled, researched and created by them.
Thank you to each and every one of them for coming into my life, for I could not imagine my world without their magicks and love that they give unconditionally.

Polarity Therapy
Polarity therapy is yet another type of energy work. It is comprised of energy balancing, accupressure points, and reflex points. Clients have described their polarity session as very relaxing, very calming, and it felt like a massage. I agree with all of the above! In my personal sessions, I have left feeling more energized, more at peace, and have even felt relief from a nagging headache.
What does polarity mean? Well, in a snapshot, our bodies have poles, just like the earth! For example, the top of the body is positively charged, the center is neutral, and the bottom is negative. Our bodies have various electromagnetic currents running through them. These currents relate directly to our nervous system. Polarity therapy involves working with the elements (ether, air, water, fire, and earth) and their properties, the chakras, and even astrology.
In Polarity, we strive to teach our clients about body awareness. How do they feel, what sensations do they notice? Where may the energy be blocked? We assist our clients in opening up any energy blocks in the body and allowing the energy to flow freely through the body. Polarity encompasses more than just energy balancing, its a way of life. We empower our clients with energy exercises (Polarity Yoga, if you will), nutritional advice -Pranic eating - (Prana = Breath of Life live foods), and positive attitude in order to maintain that balance.
